I come from a small town; most of my childhood was spent collecting and classifying bugs.  On rainy days you would find me elbow deep in an art project taking up the kitchen table.  When I wasn’t home, I was found running around a medical lab my Mom worked in.  Filling up racks of test tubes as I asked what every instrument in the room was used for.  Needless to say not much has changed in my life.  I still need to fulfill my passion for art and my love of science.  Biological illustration allows me to teach science through art.  My art is now not only to be enjoyed but to help educate the future, I could not think of a more fulfilling job.
